 First winter rain lashes parts of country

First winter rain lashes parts of country ISLAMABAD: Several areas of country including the twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta and Azad Kashmir have received first that has caused mercury to drop down.

According to Met office, federal capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi and surrounded areas received first winter drizzle with cold breeze and later ended with heavy thunder shower last night. Lahore and its adjoining areas Kamonki, Sheikhupura and Mureedkay also received showers. The fog has been vanished after the rain spell. Rain spell also continued in different parts of district Mansehra whereas Abbotabad and suburbs also hit by light showers. The cold has been increased in Muree, Galiyat and Nathiagali due to snowfall.

The land connection of Darosh, Garam Chashma and sub division Mastug and other areas has been suspended due to continue snowfall.

Met office predicted rains and snowfall in most parts of the country during next 24 hours.
