7 killed, 71 injured, 11 vehicles torched in Karachi KARACHI: Separate incidents of violence in Karachi on Saturday resulted in deaths of 7 persons while 71 others were injured.

Unknown men also set on fire 11 vehicles in different parts of the city.

The riots started in Banaras area where unknown armed-men opened fire at passing vehicles and also pelted them with stones, killing 7 and injuring 71 others.

Three of the deceased have been identified as Muhammad Ali, Mukhtar and Matiullah.

The dead and injured have been shifted to Qatar Hospital in Orangi Town.

Medical superintendent of Qatar Hospital, Dr. Saif 15 of the injured were brought in with bullet wounds.
