Updated at: 0105 PST,  Wednesday, May 25, 2011
Altaf terms naval base attack as ‘open defeat’ LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Qaid Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned terrorist attack on Pak naval base in Karachi and prayed for the martyrs of navy and Rangers officials, Geo News reported.

In a statement from London, Altaf Hussain said penetration of a few terrorists to a sensitive military site is a matter of concern for the whole nation. He termed this terrorist attack on naval base as ‘open defeat’ of defence institutions.

MQM Chief said it is the need of the hour that defence institutions review their policies. He also urged that these institutions deal terrorists and their supporters whether military or civilians with iron hand.
