Shoaib back in Pakistan squad for Champions Trophy LAHORE: Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was Tuesday named in Pakistan's 15-man squad announced for next month's Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan.

The selection committee announced the team after reviewing the performance of the probable players at the training camp and trial matches.

Squad: Shoaib Malik (captain), Salman Butt, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul Haq, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanveer, Umar Gul, Rao Iftikhar, Bazid Khan, Abdul Rauf, Khalid Latif, Saeed Ajmal.

According to chief selector Salahuddin Sallu, captain Shoaib Malik has been included in the team as an allrounder.

He said that Shoaib Akhtar has been included in the team after he proved his fitness in the trial matches.
