LAHORE: Former federal minister for law and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Babar Awan Friday called upon Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to announce construction of Kalabagh Dam at the earliest to overcome power crisis, Geo News reported.
Talking to media men following a book launching ceremony here, Babar Awan said there was serious power crisis and the newly elected government had to take prompt measures including construction of Kalabagh Dam.
He further said before restoration of bilateral ties with India, Islamabad had to raise outstanding Kashmir and water issue.
Responding to a question about annoyed PPP workers, Awan said he didn’t believe on division in the party.
