ISLAMABAD: The federal government has established an anti-power theft unit in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to initiate action against officers of WAPDA and other power distribution companies involved in electricity theft.
FIA officer Hussain Asghar, who also held a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf, would head the newly formed unit.
The prime minister directed that strict action be taken against those officers involved in power theft. He said that unscrupulous officers should be brought to justice.
