ISLAMABAD: Though Zamurud Khan, a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, who played a heroic role in overpowering a gunman who paralyzed Pakistan’s capital for hours has received accolade from across the country, Punjab law minister says it was insane of Khan to do this action.
The firebrand Rana Sanaullah criticized Khan for his effort and said the PPP leader was not trained for the situation. “ He was not fit to do this action as he failed to grip the armed man and fell as he pounced down on him, Zamurud Khan even could not succeed in holding gunman’s feet after falling,”
Senior journalist and Geo News anchor Kamran Khan lashed out at the state institutions for their failure in overcoming the situation.
Khan, however, said that it was Zamrurud Khan whose effort brought this drama to an end.
Kamran Khan said that police and security agencies reaction to the situation was a cause of great concern.
Zamurud Khan's show of bravery triggered a debate with a great number of people admiring him for his bravery while some others say he should not have risked his life.
