PM accepts invitation of Afghan President to visit Kabul

ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has invited Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to visit Kabul, according to a press release issued by Foreign office here on Tuesday.

According to the press release, the prime minister has accepted the invitation while the dates of the visit would be determined through diplomatic channels.

The visit of President Karzai has strengthened mutual understanding between the leadership of the two countries and their commitment to work closely for the promotion of common goals of peace, stability and prosperity, it said.

During a visit of the Afghan President, the both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen and broaden bilateral relations. It was agreed to continue to work together for the promotion of peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan, the press release added.
