Musharraf granted bail in Bugti murder case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted bail to former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the Akbar Bugti murder case.

A three judge bench of the apex court granted the bail against two surety bonds of Rs1 million.

During the course of hearing, the court asked the Prosecutor General Balochistan what evidence he had to prove that the former dictator conspired to kill the Baloch leader.

The prosecutor argued that statements of abettors as well as CDs of attacks were also available.

In a statement by the former president’s party, the APML said that Musharraf had been granted bail in all three cases and they would approach the Supreme Court if his name was not removed from the exit control list.
