4 killed, several injured in Quetta blast

QUETTA: At least four people were killed and several injured in a blast on Double Road here on Wednesday.

Television footage showed several vehicles and nearby buildings damaged as a result of the blast near the NADRA office located in the area. The bomb disposal squad said 6-7 kilograms of explosives were planted on a motorcycle.

Police officials said the CNG cylinder of a vehicle exploded following the blast.

The injured have been shifted to the Civil Hospital and CMH for treatment. The MLO of Civil Hospital says three of the injured are in critical condition.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who is attending the World Islamic Economic Forum in London condemned the blast and directed authorities to provide the best possible medical treatment to those injured.
