ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has brushed aside the rumours regarding a secret deal with former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
Talking to Geo News, the defence minister said that any secret deal with Pervez Musharraf is out of question. He said that the former president is being provided best medical facilities here.
Khawaja Asif categorically stated that Musharraf’s name would not be removed from Exit Control List (ECL) at any cost.
He said that the government of Pakistan is a plaintiff in the treason case against Musharraf, adding that investigation should also be carried out over billions of rupees in the former ruler’s bank accounts.
There is no pressure from any country including Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates on the issue, he added.
