Power supply to Supreme Court, Parliament disconnected
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has disconnected electricity supply to the Supreme Court of Pakistan and Parliament House.

The PWD is responsible for clearing electricity dues of the Supreme Court and according to IESCO officials the bill was not paid for six months which amount to Rs3.5 million.

The Parliament House has outstanding dues worth Rs120 million and it is the responsibility of the Capital Development Authority to clear dues.

Earlier, State Minister for Water and Power ordered IESCO to disconnect electricity supply to 18 government institutions including the Presidency, Parliament Lodges and the residence of Chief Justice of Pakistan.
