LAHORE: The National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) Tuesday claimed that countrywide electricity load shedding has stopped for the time being, Geo News reported.
NTDC said that with the weather turning pleasant after rains the gap between the demand and supply of electricity has been bridged and a new schedule of load shedding would now be issued.
NTDC spokesman said that the demand and supply of electricity stands tied as both the demand and generation of electricity currently pegged at 11,000 megawatts making the temporary end of load shedding possible.
The spokesman further said that the supply of furnace oil and gas to all the powerhouses has also been increased. He said that the new schedule of load shedding would be issued in accordance with the demand and supply gap.
