PESHAWAR: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has confirmed that Adnan Rashid, a key accused in an assassination attempt on Pervez Musharraf, was arrested by the Pakistan Army in Shakai area of South Waziristan.
The TTP accused a militia named Mullan Nazir group of passing the information to the security forces which eventually led to arrest of Rashid.
Sources said that the militant commander had moved to South Waziristan after being injured by security forces and was taken into custody three days ago. The sources said that Rashid was shifted to an undisclosed location through a helicopter.
However, official sources have not confirmed the reports. On the other hand, the TTP, through a pamphlet distributed in South Waziristan, vowed to take vengeance on Mullah Nazir group.
