KARACHI: The Rangers officials on Friday claimed to have foiled a terrorism bid made on the eve of Yaum-e-Ali by recovering huge quantity of weapons and explosive material from Manghopir area of the city.
Brigadier Hamid told media that on the information provided by two arrested terrorists, the paramilitary force conducted a search operation in Sultanabad area in Manghopir and recovered huge quantity of explosive material and weapons.
A spokesman of the Rangers said that the six suicide jackets, four bombs, five SMGs, two LMG rifles, one Kalashnikov, 11 rocket launchers, three walkie talkie sets, 10 batteries, three kilograms of ball bearings and hundreds of cartridges were recovered.
He said that the terrorists had planned attacks on Yaum-e-Ali in Karachi. (PPI)
