Few thousand cannot derail democracy: PM Nawaz

JEDDAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday that a few thousand people could not derail democracy.

The prime minister stressed that there was no room for the politics of protests and slogans in Pakistan. He added that Independence Day functions will be held on the evening of August 14 will flag hoisting ceremonies will be held during the day.

Prime Minister Sharif further said that there had been several revolutions during the 65 year history of Pakistan but now only democracy could bring a revolution.
