Invoking of Article 245 unacceptable: Shah

SUKKUR: Opposition leader in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah Tuesday said opposition parties do not accept invoking of Article 245.

“This Article is invoked when things go out of the government’s control,” Khursheed Shah said while talking to media persons here.

He said he doubts the honesty of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. “If there were two-three more like Chadhry Nisar, then nobody knows what Nawaz Sharif would have to go through,” he added.

He said stopping anyone from staging a protest is against democratic norms and that Imran Khan should be allowed to stage his demonstration for voicing his demands.

Khursheed Shah said political activities must be carried on. “It is the right of political parties,” he noted.
