KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Prisons, Manzoor Wasan said on Tuesday that there was fear of an attack on Hyderabad Jail.
The minister spoke with media at the Sindh Secretariat on the foiled prison break attempt at the Central Jail in Karachi. Wasan said the high elevation houses of Ghousia Colony were a security threat and would be demolished.
Wasan told reporters that preparations have been completed to shift the Central Jail out of Karachi.
On Monday, Deputy Director Rangers Colonel Tahir revealed to media that an attempt to break terrorists out of the Central Jail in Karachi had been foiled. Rangers raided a house in Ghousia Colony where a tunnel was being dug to launch an attack and release prisoners from the Central Jail.
