MANAMA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that action was being taken against terrorists and all armed groups in North Waziristan.
Speaking to members of the Pakistani community here, Prime Minister Sharif said Taliban continued their attacks during the dialogue process with the government which made Operation Zarb-e-Azb inevitable.
The prime minister added that after the Karachi airport attack, the government decided that holding dialogue with the Taliban would not bear any positive results.
Prime Minister Sharif further said military courts were being formed for the speedy trials of terrorism suspects.
Speaking on Pak-Afghan relations, Prime Minister Sharif descrirbed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani as a ‘good friend’ of Pakistan who was also committed to exterminating terrorism.
