KHUSHAB: At least seven people including women and children were killed while nine others sustained injuries when lightning struck two houses in Khushab early on Saturday morning.
According to locals, a seven-year-old girl died when lightning struck a house in Purana Chowk area. The debris of the house also damaged the adjacent house, which collapsed killing four children and two women. A third house was also partially damaged.
The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. According to hospital sources three are said to be in critical condition.
