Sharif family, PML-N representatives meet Nawaz at Koth Lakhpat Jail

ISLAMABAD: Members of Sharif family and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders on Thursday met former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at the Koth Lakhpat Jail.

Sons of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Abdul Qadir and Ali Haider Gilani, also briefly met with Nawaz during the visiting hours.

Nawaz’s mother, Begum Shamim Akhtar, daughter Maryam Nawaz, son-in law Captain (retd) Safdar, Hamza Shehbaz and other close relatives were greeted with flower petals and passionate slogans from the party workers on their arrival at the jail vicinity.

Maryam, on the occasion, expressed her gratitude to the workers for their support.

Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Tehmina Daultana, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Ameer Muqam, Saleem Zia, Anjum Aqeel, Tariq Fazl Chaudhry, Mian Marghoob, Lahore Mayor Mubasher Javed and PM Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider visited the party leader.

A heavy contigent of police personnel were deployed at the Koth Lakhpat Jail to avoid any unforeseen law and order issue.
