Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that those asking for a national reconciliation ordinance live in a paradise of fools, and that all institutions were on the same page to make Pakistan stronger.

The prime minister, in a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Babar Awan, said that accountability has and will always be the main priority of the government.

The premier said that he would not back off from implementation of the rule of law. He added that corruption was like a termite for the country, adding that the institutions would not work until they were repaired.

During the meeting, the prime minister also informed the PTI leader that his government would take a major action this month to provide relief to the people. It is as yet unclear what the action would be.

According to sources, the two leaders also discussed the Lahore High Court’s decision regarding former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. LHC had allowed the former premier to travel abroad for medical treatment.
