Bid to include DIK, Tank in Seraiki province

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership is also in liaise with the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman for including Dera Ismail Khan (DIK) and Tank into Saraiki province, source told here.

Sources claimed that Maulana Fazlur Rahman has flexible stance on the issue. However, he would arrive at a final decision after consultations with his party.

ANP leadership hasn’t given any categorical reply as yet. Instead they want FATA to be included in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw, but showing reluctance on DIK and Tank to be included in Seraiki province.

DIK and Tank are adjacent districts of Southern Punjab, where majority of the residents speaks Seraiki language.
