ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry said on Sunday that the country is bleeding while Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is enjoying holidays in London.
The PTI leader was speaking to media, where he highly criticised the PM for being absent in wake of back-to-back tragedies that have hit the country within a short time.
He said that the country is facing administrative and political crisis.
The country was hit by one after another tragedy beginning with the suicide attack in Quetta, which resulted in the death of 14 people, including seven policemen, on Friday. The attack was followed up by twin attacks in Parachinar, which took 67 lives and injured several others.
When the country was reeling from the three attacks in one day, four policemen were gunned down in Karachi by unknown assailants.
The PM along with his family members left the country on June 18 for Saudi Arabia, and is set to return on June 30. The Sharif family usually spends the last 10 days of Ramazan in the Holy Cities.
On June 25, the prime minister is expected to go to London for a medical checkup. On May 31 last year, the premier underwent a heart surgery in London. In that visit, Sharif spent almost 50 days out of the country while the Panama crisis was brewing at home.
