Shehla Raza strikes back at federal govt over Rangers’ powers
KARACHI: Reacting to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s press conference in which he alleged Sindh government of putting the Karachi operation in jeopardy to save only one man (Dr Asim Hussain), PPP leader Shehla Raza Saturday said the federal government is making the issue controversial not the other way around.

In a statement issued here, the deputy speaker in Sindh Assembly urged Islamabad to present video evidence against Dr Asim Hussain and the PPP leadership instead of hurling threats.

“Don’t try to scare us and show the video…If the federal government has evidence it should also share it with us.”

Raza went on to say that the issue of extending Rangers’ special powers must be resolved in the Sindh Assembly if there were reservations prevailing over it.

“You never know…Rangers might get even more rights than before,” she remarked.

Nisar's statement came in response to Maula Bakhsh Chandio's press conference in which he urged the interior minister to 'mind his own business' in the matter.
