Pakistan’s Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq on Thursday expressed scepticism over fast bowler Mohammad Amir’s likely return to the national side saying the team management would have to face so many challenges if that happens.
Speaking during an interview with BBC Urdu, he said consequences of Amir’s return to Pakistan team were ‘really difficult to predict’.
His return would give birth to new complications rather than putting an end to the already long-lasting issue, he said.
Misbah said all players including him and the board would have to go through a series of testing processes and would have to deal with suspicions of the media and general public.
The skipper went on to say that captains of the sides Amir will play for would be asked so many questions on fixing and related issues instead of focusing on cricket and match itself. England tour specifically will create hurdles for his captains, he added.
