ISLAMABAD: Dense fog has disrupted flights and road traffic in Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore and other parts of Punjab on Tuesday.

The Motorway has been closed for vehicular traffic at many points in Punjab while dense fog did not allow any single flight to land in Islamabad since 11:00PM last night.

Passengers have been advised to leave for the airport after inquiring about flight schedule over the telephone. Flights due at Benazir International Airport were being diverted to Lahore and other cities.

Officials said flight operations are expected to resume after 11:00AM if visibility improves.

Meanwhile, thick mist has also been reported in many parts of Sindh after overnight rainfall wreaked havoc in parts of Karachi.
