LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan posed questions on how Hasan Nawaz purchased a flat worth Rs6 billion.
He said if the Terms of Reference (ToRs) to investigate the Panama Leaks issue are not decided, his party will take to the streets and the government will not be able to handle such a movement.
While conversing with the media in Lahore on Saturday Imran said that the government was prolonging the matter to avoid accountability. He said the government would make efforts to isolate his party further adding that the politicians would also be bribed.
The PTI chairman said that the PML-N and its leaders were afraid of accountability because the leaders knew that they had looted the national exchequer. He once against presented himself for accountability saying that his hands were clean, therefore he was not afraid of accountability. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and members of his family should also present themselves for ‘Ehtesab’ if their hands were clean.
Answering a question he said that the sit-in was organised as a response to the government for not probing the results of four constituencies of the general elections of 2013. He stated that it was later proved that rigging took place in all the four constituencies. He said if the party got an opportunity, accountability would be held against all the four retired members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Imran Khan said that the ECP was the ECP of the PML-N adding that all four of the previous members of the ECP were guilty of rigging the elections.
