Farhan Akhtar to feed underprivileged Indians and Pakistanis for Independence Day

The artist will collaborate with different teams of volunteers in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.

Bollywood Actor Farhan Akhtar will celebrate Independence Day for India and Pakistan by feeding half a million underprivileged Indians and Pakistanis.

Filmmaker-turned-actor Farhan Akhtar has pairedwith Uday Benegal, Vishal Dadlani, Vasudha Sharma, Clinton Cerejo and other artistsfor this enormous task.

The artists will collaboratewith different teams of volunteers in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.

The actor has teamed up with Robin Hood Army, which is an organization that uses surplus food from restaurants to feed the underprivileged in both India and Pakistan

Farhan Akhtar has urged people to contribute to this initiative saying, , “The Robin Hood Army’s desire to feed half a million people across India and Pakistan this year on their respective Independence Days is an effort I whole heartedly support. I appeal to people everywhere to participate in this incredible initiative to help eradicate hunger and malnutrition. It’s our world. We have to make it better.”
