LONDON: A suspected Daesh members who it is said used cufflink to plan terror attacks on British soil have been charged with six terror offences which include providing training manuals and ‘assisting others to commit acts of terrorism’.
According to local news reports the man identified as Samata Ullah a 33-year-old from Cardiff is accused of ‘controlling an organization which is concerned in the commission of acts of terrorism’ and providing help to train would-be terrorists.
According to local media reports, the accused will be presented before the Westminster Magistrate’s Court for offences committed between December last year and 22nd September 2016.
“The arrest, which took place in the street in Cardiff by officers from the Counter Terrorism Command was pre-planned and as a result of a pro-active investigation by the Counter Terrorism Command supported by the Wales extremism and counterterrorism unit,” the London based Express quoted an unnamed Scotland Yard spokesman.
The South Wales police confirmed the arrest was a result of a joint investigation by the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command and the Wales Extremist and Counter Terrorism Unit.
