QUETTA: At least eight people were injured on Monday when alift at theQuetta Civil Hospital fell down.
According to details, the incident occurred at 12 AM when the lift was carrying five nurses, two attendants and the lift operator from the first floor to the ground floor.
The injured were taken to the emergency ward for treatment.
Medical Superintendant Dr Farid Smalani said that the lift fell because it was very old and had not been maintained properly. An investigation into why the lift was not changed earlier is underway.
