Retired IGs express concern over A.D. Khawaja’s forced leave, term the move unjustified

The group has appealed to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Sindh to not allow the forced transfer

A group of 35 retired IGs of Police Service of Pakistan have expressed concern over IG Sindh A.D. Khawaja’s forced leave and have labeled the move by the provincial government as ‘unjustified’.

In a statement on Monday, the retired IGs said that the way the Sindh government sent an honest and professional officer on forced leave for not bowing down to the illegitimate wishes of some influential persons was unjustified.

The group has appealed to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Sindh to not allow the forced transfer.

Among the IGs mentioned in the statement are Syed Masud Shah, former IG Punjab and KP; Afzal Ali Shigri, former IG Sindh; Tariq Parvez, former DG FIA; Shaukat Javed, former IG Punjab; Tariq Khosa, former IG Balochistan; and Iftikhar Ahmed, former IG Islamabad.
