KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday indicted infamous Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch and his accomplices for killing more than 25 people, including policemen, during the 2012 Lyari operation.

The ATC held hearing on seven cases relating to alleged target killing of over 25 people, including 12 policemen by Baloch and his accomplices.

The deceased policemen included Inspector Fawad and Head Constable Fayaz.

The court indicted Baloch and his accomplices Amin Buleedi, Mushtaq Khan, Abdul Ghaffar alias Mama and Ramzan alias Ramzani. The suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The ATC therefore issued notices to the investigating officials and witnesses to appear on April 24.
