OKARA: Two robbers were killed in an encounter with police in Okara late Wednesday, officials claimed.
The encounter took place in Gulshan Mukhtar Town when armed robbers opened fire at a police team, police said. In retaliation, two suspected dacoits were killed.
The exchange of fire also left three policemen wounded, including station house officer (SHO) of Saddar police station.
The wounded personnel and bodies of deceased robbers were shifted to hospital for medic-legal formalities.
