KARACHI: Police rounded up more than 30 suspects, said to be involved in different crimes, in multiple raids in Karachi late Monday, they said.
The law enforcers conducted a search operation in Pirabad's Kunwari Colony area late this night and apprehended 23 suspects. Officials said they were verifying identities of arrested suspects and looking for any criminal record.
In another raid in Saddar's Frere area, police arrested four street criminals. Officials seized arms, two motorcycles and mobile phones from arrested men.
The suspects have reportedly confessed to involvement in around 40 muggings.
Two muggers were apprehended from Gulberg, police said.
In Keemari, the law enforcers arrested three suspects, while two others were held from Tipu Sultan Road.
Police said the arrested suspects included foreigners and wrongdoers.
