JIT, Imran Khan have no evidence against prime minister: Sanaullah

JIT is creating conflicts and is trying to disrespect Sharif family, says Punjab law minister.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday said the joint investigation team (JIT) formed on orders of the apex court to investigate the allegations leveled in the Panama Papers and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan have no evidence against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The law minister further said the JIT is creating conflicts and is trying to disrespect the Sharif family.

The report submitted by the JIT will not have any importance till it is accepted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, said Sanaullah while speaking to the media in Lahore.

The law minister further claimed that witnesses appearing on behalf of Sharif family are being asked to become approvers.
