RAWALPINDI: Security forces, with the aid of intelligence agencies, have intensified operations in Punjab and have arrested at least 21 suspects, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations. (ISPR).
“Pakistan Rangers Punjab along with CTD, Punjab Police and intelligence agencies have intensified ops in Punjab,” said the statement.
The statement added that the 21 suspects arrested include a Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat terrorist, a gang of kidnappers and unregistered Afghan residents.
The operations were intensified further under directions of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
A suicide bomber earlier this week targetted a group of policemen on Ferozepur road and martyred 26 people, including nine policemen.
