KARACHI: Family members of two suspects killed in an alleged police encounter have ended their sit-in at Shahra-e-Pakistan after negotiations with the local police administration.
The protestors claimed that the men killed last night were tailors and were not involved in any criminal activities, whereas, police maintains that the deceased were involved in a number of heists and cases were registered against them.
Police further added that both the men were killed in a shootout. Traffic normalisedin the surrounding areas only after the protesters dispersed.
Separately, MQM-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar expressed solidarity with the family of an MQM worker allegedly killed yesterday.
“Justice should be given to us. This blood mayhem must stop. compensation should be given to the family of deceased,” he added.
