Fog disrupts flights at Delhi airport

NEW DELHI: Heavy fog has disrupted the scheduled flights at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Sunday, causing huge inconveniences to the passengers.

Around 75 domestic and international flights were delayed, diverted or cancelled this morning after visibility dropped to nearly zero at the airport.


About 15 domestic flights from Delhi were reportedly cancelled and 12 international, mostly scheduled to depart late last night and in the wee hours, have been rescheduled.

Besides, the passengers also faced lot of problems to reach the airport early Sunday morning due to lack of visibility because of thick fog, and also noticed a number of road accidents for the same reason.
