LAHORE: Weather turned pleasant after parts of the Punjab province received showers on Monday.
Rain occurred at isolated places in Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions. According to media reports, Gujranwala and Sialkot faced widespread urban flooding following the rainfall, however, a majority of the areas in both of the cities are without power.
Meanwhile, rain is expected in Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, and areas of Kashmir today, informed Pakistan Metrological Department.
The weather department said that seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Weak monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to continue during next few days. A trough of westerly wave is persisting over upper parts of the country.
