Kareena Kapoor is well aware of her son Taimur being a paparazzi favourite and his pictures going viral, but wants him to grow up as normally as possible.

“I do understand that. But I just don’t want him to be looked upon as a star child. I want him to grow up as normally as possible,” said Kareena during a recent interview.

Kareena also revealed that she had a discussion with husband Saif Ali Khan during her pregnancy regarding how they would handle pictures being taken of their baby.

“He (Saif) said there was nothing to hide. He is going to be photographed so be it,” Kareena said during the interview.

Kareena had earlier lashed out at social media for the controversy that popped up around her three-month-old son’s Taimur Ali Khan’s name.

"How is my baby's name anyone's business? All this erupted when I wanted to enjoy every moment of being a mother," the Bollywood star had said.

Kareena was frustrated with how numerous people think they have a right to first label the name controversial and wrong and then suggest new names.

"When we named our son Taimur, everyone in the country suddenly turned into a historian, philosopher, and scientist. Everyone seemed to know the meaning of the name, and the supposed history behind it. They even suggested alternate names for my baby."

Many had taken to the Internet to voice their displeasure at Saifeena naming their newborn Taimur, a name assumed to have been inspired from the famous conqueror Timur (or Tamerlane) – which, it turns out, was not the case.
