Fog triggers nine-hour power failure

HYDERABAD: Heavy fog being experienced by the people of Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas regions has been leading to an electricity failure for nine to ten hours since late Thursday night.

The HESCO spokesman informed here on Friday that due to fog, the transmission of electricity remained off for nine to ten hours in 18 Grid Stations of HESCO Region.

However, he said that electricity has been restored from these grid stations after 12 noon Friday.

The spokesman expressed regrets on behalf of HESCO management for inconvenience which faced by power consumers, however hoped that their cooperation would continue with HESCO.
