Surij-Miani road traders demand for compensation

MULTAN: Scores of traders at Surij-Miani road staged protest demonstration and demanded of government to offer proper compensation to them as their shops are being demolished against inappropriate financial compensation.

According to detail, Surij-Miani road is being expanded to ensure smooth flow of traffic and for this purpose government is acquiring a small portion of land belonged to the traders having shops in both sides of the road.

Scores of traders led by Abdul Maalik, Musawwar staged demonstration protest and blocked Surij Miani. They demanded of higher authorities to offer them proper financial compensation warned to prolong the protest if their demands were not heeded properly.
