Court seizes powers of PBF office bearers

ISLAMABAD: Civil Judge, Lahore Najia Batool has restrained Mian Iftikhar, Naqvi Mohsin, Aamir Hayat Rokhri, and 21 other defendants to exercise the powers of office bearers of Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) and to interrupt the peaceful working of President PBF, Nazar Muhammad Gondal and Secretary General PBF Imtiaz Ahmad Gill.

The court has also restrained Pakistan Olympic Association from initiating or continuing arbitration proceedings of parties, says a press release issued here.

It is worth mentioning here that the President PBF, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, called the election meeting of PBF at Islamabad on December 24, 2010, but instead of contesting the election at Islamabad, Aamir Hayat Rokhri held an illegal meeting on 23-12-2010 at Lahore and announced an illegal body of PBF in Lahore.

It is also worth mentioning here that Naqi Mohsin who was suspended by General Council on the charges of corruption is very close relative of Gen. Arif Hassin President POA.
