"Mian sahib, you are heading a party, have some strength," the PTI spokesman urges ex-premier

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said on Wednesday that Nawaz Sharif is running away from elections and challenged the former premier to tell who is conspiring against him.

In reaction to Nawaz's press conference earlier today, the PTI spokesman said that Sharif has already given in, despite the fact that the election process has not yet started.

"Mian sahib, you are heading a party, have some strength," he told reporters at a press conference here.

Chaudhry further questioned why Nawaz does not name the individual conspiring against him.

Earlier today, Nawaz said that being a three-time prime minister, several facts were in his knowledge and lamented that not a single prime minister has completed his or her term in the country.

Asking that the voters’ decisions not be usurped, the former premier warned that if the scheming being undertaken behind the curtains does not stop, he "shall present all such evidence before the people and share the story of what has transpired in the last four years."

"Nawaz should also open up on manipulation of election results in the past," Chaudhry said, adding that everyone knows which 'blue-eyed boy' benefitted in the past elections.

He alleged the former premier does not have an answer as to where from his companies got Rs300 billion.

"This is a question being asked by the entire nation and you tend to make the judiciary controversial for you cannot account for this huge sum," the PTI spokesman said.

Chaudhry furthercriticised the Sharifs over their recent visit to Saudi Arabia.

He said the nation is keen to know about the "deal you struck there."
