ISLAMABAD: A scuffle broke out between passengers standing in a queue at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad on Thursday, sources at the airport told Geo News.

Two passengers, including a senior citizen, thrashed a man in front of the international arrival gate.

After the male passengers who attacked others standing in the queue, reportedly because of the negligence and delayed action of the Airport Security Force, a scuffle then broke out between the women passengers.

Last year in May, Federal Investigation Agency Director Mazhar-ul-Haq Kakakhel had dismissed junior constable Ghazala Shaheen over involvement in physically assaulting two passengers at the Benazir International Airport in Islamabad.

Initially reported as a scuffle between two female passengers and an FIA lady constable over the absence of tissue papers in the restroom on April 15, 2017, the incident had garnered social media attention after a video, showing an FIA female constable berating the same women, surfaced.

The FIA had at first issued a statement claiming that the passengers misbehaved with FIA official, Noshila Bibi, at the immigration counter.

However, another Close Circuit Television (CCTV) camera video showed the female passengers misbehaving with the FIA lady constable, before being tortured by another female staff member.
