Encroachment on Double Road causing traffic jam

RAWALPINDI: Encroachment activities are on the rise on the both side of double road Rawalpindi, creating hurdles for pedestrians and motorists.

Residents of the locality complained that due to encroachment they are facing many problems as authorities are least interested to take action against encroachments. They urged the authorities concerned to make a comprehensive strategy to remove these encroachments in order to clear the road and ensure the flow of traffic.

Amjad Zarin, a resident of the locality said that due to encroachment activities people are facing different problems, adding that most of the time it cause traffic jam. He said that the concerned authorities are not turning their ears towards the problem.

It is pertinent to mention that several boys hostels are present in the locality due to which most of the times this road remains busy with hundreds of pedestrian.

Rawalpindi Food Street and Public Park are also located at Double Road which depicts the importance of the locality.(APP)
