QESCO contradicts news item

QUETTA: The spokesman for Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) contradicted the news item published in section of media in which they held the QESCO responsible for delay in repair and restoration work on damaged 220 KV double power transmission lines.

"QESCO is a power distribution company, the repair and restoration work of these lines fall under the jurisdiction of National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC)," said a press release issued here on Friday.

Spokesman clarified that QESCO is merely a power distribution company and has nothing to do with the repair work of 220 KV damaged power transmission lines.

However, he noted that NTDC started twice and thrice the repair work but due to the constant attacks by the unknown men on their technical teams and security personnel, the repair work took time.

He stressed the mediamen to get QESCO version took before filing their news stories so that the real and fact-based information could be disseminated through their esteemed organizations.
