LAHORE: The young doctors, calling off their prolonged 38-day strike on government’s assurance of accepting their demands, are back on their duties.
Following a meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, the doctors had announced calling off their strike and by this time all of them have started working as usual.
Young Doctors Association spokesman said that the Punjab CM has constituted a committee headed by the senior provincial minister, Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa for the deliberations on their demands, which would soon be submitting its recommendations.
Punjab Law Minister, Rana Sanullah and PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rashid are also included in the committee from the government side.
