ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Monday questioned as to why extensions in service were granted to those who tried to hush up the ‘Raymond Davis episode’, Geo News reported.
In his address during the National Assembly session, Ch Nisar urged the Prime Minister to take the house in confidence on the Raymond Davis issue and that he would give a nod if the latter forms a parliamentary in this regard.
“The issue of Raymond Davis was the most important one but the president did utter even a single word on it,” he regretted.
On reopening of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s case, he said no legal expert had described the decision of going for reopening of the case after a lapse of 31 years as a correct one.
He said 99.9 per cent people feel that sending ZAB to gallows was unjust and ‘the one who celebrated this incident by distributing sweets and for whatever he kept on writing and saying should seek forgiveness from Bhutto’s soul, Pakistan nation and PPP jiyalas’.
The Opposition leader NA said misinterpretation was being noticed in Benazir murder case.
He said he holds the armed forces in high esteem but would never allow them to play any role that is beyond the safeguarding of borders.
